MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 4, 2008) - Arts
organizations in the Montreal area will benefit from an investment
by the Government of Canada to foster the development of arts and to
enable Canadians to enjoy outstanding artistic experiences.
The Honourable Michael M Fortier, Minister of Public Works and
Government Services, on behalf of the Honourable Josee Verner,
Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official
Languages, today announced funding for 18 arts organizations in the
Montreal area.
The groups will share over $3 million, provided in response to
private-sector donations to endowment funds. Public charitable
foundations will hold the Government funding for these ...
