Article: Child Abuse Awareness Month Each child counts

WOOSTER -- Each representing a case of child abuse or neglect, 1,118 pinwheels planted in the yard of the Kinney Building spin in memory of the past and in anticipation of a better future.

"Turning Choices into Change ... Preventing Child Abuse Together!" is the theme for this year's child abuse awareness month, which runs throughout April. The pinwheel display, which will move to the lawn of The Barn Restaurant in Smithville on April 16 is presented by Pinwheels for Prevention, said Natashia Siebert, Wayne County Children Services intake worker and chairwoman of the committee.
