Call it a rug revolution.
Today's area rugs are artwork for your floor. Made of synthetic or
wool fibers in vibrant colors, their bold contemporary patterns make
a statement.
They make rooms pop, said Jeff Stavitski, who handles sales for a
Rug Decor Outlet store in Phoenix.
Consider the Andy Warhol Home Rug Collection, a creation of Sphinx
by Oriental Weavers. Inspired by the late artist's abstract and pop
art as well as his work as a fashion illustrator, these rugs feature
blocks of color and geometric shapes.
Urban Renaissance's vibrant collections contrast rectangles with
circles or squiggly lines. The Kathy Ireland Home Gallery rug series
