for a half-decade now, has been the best-kept secret in Manhattan
Beach -- was what you might call a real piece of work. Not so much in
her look, though she was dressed in black from head to toe, but in
her attitude, which was a lot darker than her clothing.
I was sitting at the bar, nursing a beer and watching things,
which is something I like to do in restaurants. Tasting the food is
essential, of course. But just watching the interaction of the staff
