Article: Freeway Series multi-car wreck for the Dodgers

If there was any doubt about which direction the Southland's two major league teams seem to be headed, the Freeway Series over the weekend served to emphasize the point: The Angels are cruising toward the 2004 season in the carpool lane and the Dodgers are stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, sucking on exhaust fumes.

The Angels' 13-5 victory Sunday afternoon in front of 39,368 at Angel Stadium completed a three-game sweep of the Dodgers, sending them to opening day today trying to forget about their 22 spring- training losses, the most ever by the club since moving to Los Angeles in 1958.

The Angels will take today off to take a flight to Seattle after finishing the spring 19-13.
