Article: LAUSD board to ask for 2nd look at parking structure

A new $40 million parking structure for Los Angeles Unified school employees at the downtown district headquarters is likely on hold, pending a survey of downtown parking rates that three board members intend to request from the district.

Board members Marlene Canter and Mike Lansing and board President Jose Huizar say they will ask Superintendent Roy Romer at Tuesday's meeting to survey the parking plans, rates and incentives for other private, nonprofit and government entities in the downtown area.
