LOS ANGELES -- Microsoft's Xbox 360 news conference at the Shrine
Auditorium late Monday night featured a stage flanked by rows of
diverse, young people. It had the air of a political rally photo op.
There's a coolness factor to the sleek and powerful Xbox 360. Of
course, it didn't hurt to have popular rock band the Killers play
post-show, either.
Robert J. Bach, senior vice president and chief Xbox officer in
the home and entertainment division at Microsoft, called the release
of his next generation console a watershed moment in entertainment.
"The Xbox 360 revolves around you," Bach said. "It will transform
