Cat person -- by marriage -- findsthat Kimba is a difficult act to follow

I always thought I was a dog person. As opposed to a cat person, that is. I don't have anything against cats. I had just always preferred to have dogs as pets.

But, the older I get, the more I find that I'm too lazy to be a dog person. Looking back on the dogs I have owned in my life, I don't think I ever successfully house-trained a single one of them.

I don't think I ever trained any of them to do anything but knock me down getting to the food dish.

Additionally, dogs, especially big dogs, need a large fenced area to run around and do their business in. Either that, or they need to be walked.

People go past my house every day walking their dogs with their little plastic bags to clean up ...
