Those inappropriate e-mails can cost you your job

Most people use e-mail and instant messaging on the job. They have become workplace necessities, eliminating the need for "snail mail" and phone tag.

Just as certainly, most people also use work e-mail and IM accounts for personal correspondence. Admit it -- we've all done it.

But before you hit send with that questionable joke to your e- mail pals, remember this: Earlier this month, Boeing's CEO, Harry Stonecipher, was ousted for inappropriate contact (an affair with a female employee), discovered because of graphic e-mails he had sent her.
