Article: Weekends become more hectic, less relaxing

They say you have to stop and smell the roses, but these days a lot of Americans are running around so fast they're not even making it near the garden. Not even on weekends.

Life magazine has just put out The Great American Weekend Study, measuring how Americans spend their weekends and what they expect to get out of them.

Some of the answers are troubling, especially if you're the type of person who enjoys a good weekend and who believes that the period between Friday at 5 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m. was intended for grander plans than simply catching up on work.
