Inside, it will be the future, as Siggraph, the 32nd International
Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, begins.
From its humble inception in Boulder, Colo., in 1974 as a forum
for academics who were exploring the new frontier of computer
graphics, Siggraph has grown into one of the world's most impressive
gatherings of cutting-edge companies and individuals -- from the
special-effects wizards at Pixar and Industrial Light and Magic to
the smallest start-up company.
