CHEYENNE -- To help develop a long-term water conservation
program, the city is forming a water conservation advisory committee.
The committee is the result of a partnership between the city of
Cheyenne and the Board of Public Utilities. The goal for the 12-
person committee is to evaluate and make recommendations to BOPU
staff on conservation measures.
The committee will include a City Council representative, a BOPU
board member, and city and BOPU staff. The board also will include
three Cheyenne residents and three representatives from local
businesses, said water conservation specialist Clint Bassett. This
means that half of the committee will be made up of non-experts, he
added.
