Article: WYOMING AIR NATIONAL GUARD'S AIR SHOW RETURNS

CHEYENNE -- After a two-year absence, the air show at the Wyoming Air National Guard drew big crowds Wednesday.

Children, young adults, parents and grandparents seemed equally fascinated by static displays and flyovers of military aircraft as well as demonstration jumps by Air Force skydivers.

The Guard's last air show was in 2001 before the attacks on Sept. 11.

Lt. Col. Mike Exstrom said the show is an effort to show the public what the Guard does.

"This is the one time during the year when the public can come out on the ramp and look, touch and see," he said. "They can see airplanes, crawl on them and touch them. They learn more about what it takes to do these types of missions."
