"Art of the Warriors: Rock Art of the American Plains" is the latest book of James Keyser.

Keyser is an archaeologist with the U.S. Forest Service in the Pacific Northwest and is a rock art specialist.

The book was released Oct. 31 simultaneously in America and France.

"In France they have old rock art in caves," Keyser said. "They have a series of publications by this press in France that talks about rock art around the world."

Keyser's book takes readers to sites that are restricted to the public because they are on private land.

While using colorful photographs of rock art sites, his book also describes in depth the rock art carvings the Plains Indians did as long as 5,000 or more ...
