Southeast Wyoming is taking some important steps forward in
attracting new residents and businesses.
Some of the actions clearly are innovative; others are not so
clear cut.
Consider Chugwater for an example.
In order to attract more people to this charming community in
Platte County, the town fathers are offering free land to anyone who
meets some basic guidelines and is willing to build a house there.
Believe it or not, some people have taken the bait. Two single
people and a Michigan family have qualified for the free land and
hope to build soon.
