CHEYENNE - On the east side of the Snowy Range in the Medicine Bow
National Forest, a network of some 265 miles of unauthorized roads
gradually has crept through the forest.
Soon part of them may provide new recreational opportunities for
motorcyclists and ATV enthusiasts, one that takes them off often-
sedate dirt roads and puts them in closer contact with the forest.
"We have a variety of unauthorized roads we needed to decide to
use or close," said Clint Kyhl, Laramie District Ranger for the
Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. "(And) we have zero miles of
