Joy Swartwood
1956-2007
Joy Swartwood, 50, of Torrington died May 19 at her home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1956, in Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of
John and Eunice (Loutzenhizer) Arends.
Mrs. Swartwood grew up and received her education there.
She married Leon Swartwood on May 9, 1974, in Scottsbluff. She
lived in North Platte, Neb., and then moved to Cheyenne where they
lived for 17 years before moving to Torrington in 1992.
Mrs. Swartwood enjoyed cooking big meals. She enjoyed camping,
collecting antiques and working in her flower beds.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Leon of Torrington;
two sons, Jarrod Swartwood of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jimmy Swartwood
of Wheatland; a ...
