Meth center makes some nervous At a glanceThe vacant building located at 1900 E. 18th St. will soon be turned into a meth resource center. A coordinator to run the facility is expected to be hired next month with plans to officially begin July 1.

While the need exists for a meth resource center, some living near it aren't sure it should be in city limits.

CHEYENNE - With a home full of young children during the week, Carolyn Madden said a methamphetamine resource center is the last thing she wants around her day-care center.

Madden lives across the street and about a block down from an empty city-owned facility at 1900 E. 18th St. - a building that will soon transform into what the city defines as a non-threatening access point to those who seek information about the psycho-stimulant.
