FINA terminate agreement with Montreal for world championships
GENEVA, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The International Amateur Swimming
Federation (FINA) has decided to terminate its contract with Montreal
for organizing this year's world championships, the organization
announced in a statement issued at its headquarters in Lausanne,
Switzerland on Wednesday.
The Bureau of swimming's world governing body held an
extraordinary meeting in Frankfurt, Germany and considered all the
aspects in relation to the organization of the 11th FINA World
Championships in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, FINA said in the
statement.
