UAE sets up polling stations for Iraqis to vote

ABU DHABI, Jan. 7 (Xinhua)-- Iraqi citizens living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Gulf region will take part in Iraq's elections by casting their ballots in polling stations set up in the UAE, local Khaleej Times reported Friday.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq (IECI) to conduct a limited voting program in 14 countries, allowing Iraqis living abroad to participate in the country's Jan. 30 elections.
