HK-Taiwan relations to be promoted according to Basic Law
HONG KONG, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- A leading official of the Liaison
Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong said Monday
the liaison office will go on promoting the healthy and orderly
growth of the Hong Kong-Taiwan relations according to the Basic Law
and the related principles of the central government.
Li Guikang, deputy head of the Liaison Office, made the remarks
while addressing a meeting in commemoration of the 10th anniversary
of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin's speech entitled "Continuing
to endeavor for the accomplishment of the grand cause of
