British housing market on way of revival: survey

LONDON, March 28 (Xinhua) -- British housing market showed first signs of recovery in March as buyers returned in force, a survey by an independent property research company said Monday.

Hometrack said in its latest survey that house prices fell by 0. 1 percent in March following a 0.2 percent fall in the previous month as new buyers have started to come back to the market in significant numbers.

The fall is the lowest since August last year and the house prices now stand at 162,500 pounds or 308,750 US dollars, down from a peak of 167,700 pounds or 318,630 dollars.
