Vietnam to restructure state farms more vigorously
HANOI, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will this year equitize and
dissolve a large number of its state-owned agriculture and forestry
farms which are facing huge losses, according to local newspaper
Pioneer on Monday.
Some 15 percent of farms nationwide which have been loss-making
for three straight years will be dissolved. Other farms which are
operating ineffectively are to undergo equitization this year.
To facilitate the development of the farm economy, Vietnam will
perfect policies on farm development, and build rural markets as well
