No clear winner in northern German state elections

BERLIN, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- No party alliance came out as a clear winner in Sunday's local elections in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein, according to preliminary results.

The ruling coalition of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and Green Party won 29 and four seats respectively in the 69-seat state parliament, according to preliminary results released by the state election commission.
