A couple of weeks ago, I decided my living room needed a new paint
job. The Mediterranean green -- while lovely -- was getting on my
nerves, so I decided to go with a simple off-white. I brought home
two gallons of "white chocolate" paint from the hardware store,
brushed it on the wall and, to my horror, it turned out to be the
whitest white you ever saw. Useless.
One way to circumvent that particular problem is Behr's Designer
Combinations, a paint preview kit in six themes based on the latest
interior designs. It comes with four sample flat enamel paints (in
