New help is arriving for an estimated 60 million people in United States with insomnia.

For chronic insomniacs and those who suffer occasional sleeplessness, simple lifestyle changes can make the most significant difference, but this month, the first of a slew of new prescription drugs are set to hit the market.

In July, the FDA approved Rozerem -- an entirely new kind of sleep aid. While other drugs target GABA, the brain chemical thought to quiet the activity of neighboring cells to induce sleep, Rozerem targets two specific receptors in the part of the brain that's often called the body's master clock.
