US warns about scams targeting families of soldiers killed in Iraq WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The US Department of Homeland Security warned Tuesday that two new Iraq-related Internet scams were targeting Americans, including one directed at the relatives of US soldiers killed in Iraq.

"These new Internet fraud schemes are among the worst we have ever encountered. Most troubling is the fact that some are targeting the relatives of US soldiers killed in Iraq," said Michael J. Garcia, assistant secretary of homeland security for immigration and customs enforcement.
