British colonial descendant arrested for grisly murder in Kenya

NAIVASHA, Kenya, April 20 (Xinhua) -- The Kenyan police Wednesday detained the grandson of a pioneer British colonial settler after a senior wildlife detective was grisly murdered in his ranch in central Kenya, authorities confirmed.

Tom Patrick Dalamere, grandson of Lord Dalamere who was among the first British colonial settlers to arrive in Kenya, was arrested and held at the Gilgil Police station, 35 km west of Naivasha on suspicion of murdering a Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) detective who was on an undercover mission to investigate illegal game meat racket.

Police said the 45-year-old Patrick would be arraigned in court ...
