UN wishes to solve Congo-based Hutu rebel issue within three months

KINSHASA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) expressed Wednesday its wish that the issue of Rwandan Hutu rebels based in Congo will be solved within three months.

Peter Swarbrick, the mission's chief of demobilization, said the international community will establish a follow-up committee and a guidance group to deal with the issue.

He added that the UN mission in the DRC, or known as MONUC, expected that the issue could be solved within 90 days.

Swarbrick also expressed his wish that Rwandan Hutu rebels would provide a detailed list of women, children and other non- combatants, ...
