2nd Ld: Tenure of next HKSAR Chief Executive nailed down

BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Wednesday adopted the interpretation on Paragraph 2, Article 53 of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ( HKSAR), which says the term of office of the next HKSAR Chief Executive shall be the remaining part left by Tung Chee Hwa, former HKSAR Chief Executive.

The selection for the next HKSAR Chief Executive will be held on July 10 according to the HKSAR Basic Law.
