Article: 'Junebug' takes McKenzie far away from 'The O.C.'

Television star Ben McKenzie traveled to the other side of the
country and as far away from his trademark character as he could for
his big-screen debut.
"I think actors who are in positions similar to mine get offered
things that are in line with what they do on the TV shows that they
work on, and that's fine," says the star of Fox's "The O.C." "But
it's not particularly my goal to just be Ryan Atwood in a movie. It's
not really so much what I'd like to be doing."
McKenzie chose the ensemble film "Junebug" as his first theatrical
feature.
"This is the one that I read that I really loved," he says,
explaining that "Junebug" was the best of at least 100 scripts sent
