Table tennis legend retires
SHANGHAI, May 3 (Xinhua) -- The 48th world championships marks the
end of the 30 years on the Media Committee of the International Table
Tennis Federation for Croatia's Zdenko Uzorinac, a man whose
contribution to table tennis is incalculable.
Uzorinac is the great historian in the sport of table tennis, his
knowledge is phenomenal.
The charming man, always with a smile on his face that exudes a
caring personality was born in Zagreb on July 7, 1929. He started to
play table tennis in 1941 at the Hask club in his home town, the club
of the late Zarko Dolinar.
