China Exclusive: China's trade unions move to protect rights of migrant workers

HANGZHOU, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- "If the bosses default on our salaries, we will join with other fellows to strive for them," said Zhu Honglin, a migrant worker from Dongyang, a city in east China's Zhejiang Province.

Last year, Zhu failed to receive his overdue salary after repeated appeals to his bosses. He finally tried his luck at the labor union in Yiwu, a booming city where Zhu worked. To his surprise, they managed to get his salaries back before the Spring Festival.
