China Focus: Growth of non-state economy helps with transformation of trade unions in China

HANGZHOU, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Organizing parties and singing contests and dispatching tickets to theaters and cinemas. This was the image of Chinese trade unions in the public mind over past decades. But now things are changing, especially in the country's coastal regions, where the non-state economy prospers.
