Chinese Medical team robbed by local gunmen leave Togo for home

LOME, July 17 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese medical team, which were robbed by local gunmen in their residence last month, left Lome for home Sunday night.

The 11-member medical team have worked in the central hospital of Lome for almost two years. During their stay in the country, the Chinese doctors have provided medical services in 35,235 patient visits, carried out 412 surgical operations and saved lives in 118 emergency cases.
