African leaders urged to be more strategic
NAIROBI, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Austin Uwandulu, president of the
Institute of Strategic Management (ISM), said on Saturday that unless
African leaders adopted a more strategic approach toward development
of their countries, they would not achieve much in development.
"Africa leaders have been functioning as operational managers, who
only take instructions from someone else to manage their own
affairs," Ghana News Agency quoted Uwandulu as saying.
Uwandulu, who said in Accra at the inauguration of a chapter of
the ISM in Ghana, added that one of the basic aims of the ISM was to
