Chinese National Games says "no" to FINA's new rules over breaststroke

NANJING, East China, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- The new rules released by FINA last July will not be applied to China's 10th National Games and "butterfly action in leg" is not allowed in breaststroke at the Games, Yuan Jiawei, the deputy director of swimming races committee of the National Games, announced here on Tuesday.

"The English specification for rules modification by FINA is obscure and likely to lead to different annotations, so the new rules will not be put into practice at the National Games," Yuan said.
