Five police officers killed in rebel attack in Colombia

BOGOTA, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Five police officers were killed and six others were kidnapped on Saturday when rebels attacked a village in western Colombia, government officials said.

Attorney General Mario Iguaran told a local radio that a report received by his office "indicates five police dead and six kidnapped" in the attack launched by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
