Chinese Taipei beat Japan 60-55 to win men's basketball title

MACAO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Taipei beat Japan 60-55 to win the men's basketball final in the East Asian Games (EAG) here on Sunday.

Chinese Taipei, silver medalist in 2001, boosted by the thundering applause and cheers from the audience, subdued Japan 16- 6 in the second quarter and made it 32-22 before the break.
