Venus Express probe to clarify 3 riddles, says Chinese astronomer

TIANJIN, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The successful launch of the Venus Express probe by the European Space Agency will probably figure out the "three Venus riddles", said a Chinese astronomer.

The probe is equipped with seven instruments aiming to explore the surface and the atmosphere of the planet, which will help to make clear some mysteries, said Yin Huaiqin, an astronautic expert with the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp. on Wednesday.
