Kathmandu to hold leather goods expo

KATHMANDU, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- A five-day long Leather Goods and Footwear Expo-2005 will be held here from Dec. 8-12, an organizer said here Tuesday.

"This is the third such expo in Nepal where a wide range of leather goods manufactured locally will be put on display and sold under a single roof," Rabin Kumar Shrestha, coordinator of the event, said at a press conference.

A complete range of leather goods such as shoes, sandals, belts, garments, wallets, bags and accessories will be displayed in 30 stalls, Shrestha noted, adding, "About 40,000 visitors are expected
