Traditional wedding conventions revive in China's ethnic residence
GUIYANG, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Though more Chinese young couples are
dressing up in western-styled garments and holding grand wedding
ceremonies like foreigners, traditional wedding rites are gradually
regaining popularity among ethnic minority people in some remote
regions in China.
A groom riding a well-dressed horse in front of a scarlet bridal
sedan chair and accompanied by a band that performs festive music was
once a popular wedding procession in ancient China. Various ethnic
