NGOs should enjoy more say in official development assistance affairs: experts

SUZHOU, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Official development assistance (ODA), which is highly useful in promoting a country's socioeconomic growth, should see more participation of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), said experts at a meeting here Thursday.

At the Oct. 26-28 International Symposium on ODA for Population and Development, Professor Fred Sai, presidential advisor on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS of Ghana, said that NGOs cannot be left out if governments want to generate real public enthusiasm about an assistance program.
