Iran resumes uranium enrichment, TV reports
TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran resumed "peaceful" uranium
enrichment work on Monday, a process which the West believes could be
used to produce atom bomb material, state-run Iranian Television
reported.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, head of the Iranian national security and
foreign relations committee in parliament, said that inspectors from
the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were
present.
Iranian government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham warned earlier
Monday that a new round of talks with Russia on its proposal over a
joint uranium enrichment venture had been delayed and it would resume
enrichment before the UN nuclear ...
