Gansu province to invest 5 bln yuan in treating Yellow River pollution

LANZHOU, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Gansu Province has planned to invest nearly 5 billion yuan( 620 million U.S. dollars) by 2010 to treat water pollution of the Yellow River's section in the province.

The province has mapped out a five-year plan for water pollution prevention and treatment, said a source with the provincial environment bureau.
