DPRK refutes U.S. charge of drug trafficking

PYONGYANG, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) on Tuesday strongly denied a U.S. allegation that it had been drug trafficking, saying such a censure is based on unreal information.

"The socialist system in the DPRK strictly bans by law not only the use and dealing in drugs which make people mentally crippled but their production," said a spokesman of the foreign ministry when answering questions raised by the official Korean Central News Agency.
