Germany arrests Rwandan Hutu rebel leader

BERLIN, April 9 (Xinhua) -- German interior officials confirmed Sunday that a Rwandan Hutu rebel leader has been taken into custody in Germany.

Police in the south-western city of Mannheim said Ignace Murwanashyaka was held there, while a spokesman for the interior ministry of Baden-Wuerttemberg state said the public prosecutors' office in Mannheim would make decisions Monday on whether to deport Murwanashyaka or continue to hold him in Germany.
