Pakistan, Turkey to cooperate to check terrorism, drug smuggling

ISLAMABAD, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan and Turkey on Tuesday agreed to cooperate to check terrorism, drug smuggling, human trafficking and trans-national organized crime.

This was stated in a joint statement issued after the third round of talks between Pakistan and Turkey in Islamabad.

At a joint news conference, Pakistan Interior Secretary Kamal Shah said that the talks were held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. He said both sides expressed satisfaction over the existing close cooperation between the two countries in different fields.
