Indonesia to impose travel ban on cleric Ba'asyir

JAKARTA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government will slap a travel ban on radical Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Ba'asyir and freeze his bank account, a local newspaper reported Wednesday.

Ansjaad Mbai, head of the anti-terror desk at the office of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, has confirmed the plan, saying the ban was aimed at showing the world the country's strong commitment to combating terrorism, reported The Jakarta Post.
