S. Africa's serial child-killer gets 10 life sentences

JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- A South African serial child- killer convicted of seven murders and three rapes received 10 life sentences in the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday.

Sipho Dube, 27, known as "the Johannesburg mine-dump serial child- killer" showed no mercy at all to his victims aged 10 to14, and cursed when he was led to a cell, the South African press association reported.

"The crimes were clearly premeditated and well-planned," Judge Seun Moshidi said, adding that Dube had shown "no remorse at all" and "poses a significant danger to society".
